Founded by the Igbo Community Association of Arizona (ICAA) in 2010, our journey began with a vision to create a space where Igbo traditions could thrive and flourish in the desert landscape.

The Igbo Association of Arizona traces its roots back to the Igbo people, one of the largest ethnic groups in Nigeria known for their rich cultural heritage and strong community bonds. As Igbo immigrants began to settle in Arizona, they sought to preserve their traditions and foster a sense of belonging in their new home.

In 2010, the Igbo Community Association of Arizona was established, serving as a vital lifeline for Igbo immigrants and their families. Through cultural events, language classes, and community gatherings, the association quickly became a cornerstone of the Igbo diaspora in Arizona, providing support and camaraderie to its members.

As the association grew, so did its vision. In 2020, after a decade of serving the Igbo community, the association embarked on a new chapter with the opening of the Igbo Community Center AZ.
